New-type infantrymen emerged on training ground

The new Outline of Military Training and Evaluation has brought about historic changes to individual soldier's fighting capability, and the traditional infantry will soon say goodbye to the training ground.
It is learned that in order to meet the demand of five-in-one (namely the army, navy, air force, aerospace, and electromagnetic condition) joint operation in the future, the new Outline of Military Training and Evaluation has made considerable readjustment of individual soldier's training contents, changing the original inspection of physical constitution, fighting skill, and combat actions of individual soldiers into the inspections of observing, reporting, combat mobility, strike, demolition, and defense capabilities of individual soldiers, with emphasis laid on five different qualities including scientific and technological quality, psychological quality, forming a new comprehensive training mode for individual soldiers under informationization condition.
"A single soldier is no longer an independent individual in battlefield, but a node on the entire chain of operation." said Zhang Shujie, chief of staff of a mechanized infantry brigade of the Jinan Military Area Command. In traditional infantry a soldier is merely a combatant, but a modern soldier is not only a combatant, he is at the same time an intelligence gatherer and target guider. Their emergence will greatly uplift battlefield perceptive capability and fire strike capability of our troops and greatly increase the battle effectiveness of our army.
