Is this aimed for export market? I'm curious why it use old tank chassis instead of modern tank..
How about make it unmanned? That would lower the profile and get rid of extra armor and A/C.
it is for export but given the recent MiddleEast exp, I am sure the PLA can use it internally. They have 1000s of Type59 still around.
