Please clarify. Is the Marine Corps a voluntary unit within the PLAN, or is it technically a PLA unit?
Normally under the command of the Navy. In time of war, just like the airborne, the overall operational command come with the Theater command, not from the navy. NO, it is not a ground force unit.
