This is good news. The PLAN is getting a modern vessel with blue-water capabilities in numbers that are meaningful.
Some upgrade however per batch are desirable like maybe a RAM-like close-in-weapons system, and more VL missile launchers.
Also, there is room enough to fit another set of box-launchers (from 8 to 12) for the YJ-83 or maybe even CY-type ASW missiles.
They should also convert the 1st 2 hulls of this class - FFG-525 and FFG-526 to 054A rather than leaving them like they are now.
I agree with other user comments -- PLAN wound need 4 per fleet.
