whats the story behind this image?
time to break this super long blog into different web pages. the loading of the page has become very sluggish.
Hard to imagine the ground-based artillery can shoot with accuracy on a rocky boat. After all, they were designed to shoot from a steady ground.
Photo itself is real but I believe the shots are PSed on.
Looks real. Check out the fired shell behind the Guns.
Not saying it isn't taking part in firing, just not at the time this photo is taken.The flash and smoke all looks very similar, and it is nearly impossible to time the shots so that you get the three shells leaving the barrel simultaneously.The flare behind the rockets don't look real.
The point is not the photo is real is not, it is about the usage of civilian cargo ship as fire support platform to support an amphibious operation.
