Here are some rare photos of ZTZ-88A (Type 88A) MBT in action. It is one of the last "Soviet pedigree" PLA MBT remaining in service; only 186 copies are procured before production shifted to a more indigenous ZTZ/Type 96
Note the extended 105mm rifled gun.

Isn't the Type 88s supposedly already phased out of service and mostly scrapped? well this is according to certain chinese sources anyways....
well, judging by those PR photos, they are alive and well.
they now only serve in XinJiang where last 4 old type army divisions still exist，it is 8th infantry division‘s 88
