PLA unit of the day: 188th Combined Arms Brigade, 82nd GA Central Theater Command
Showing off their Type63 APC together with their PLZ89 122mm SPH and PLZ83 152mm SPH in yesterday's CCTV report. The point here -- the least equipped PLA ground force units are now well-mechanized albeit with older gears.
I really get confused with this "combined arms brigade" thing. If they are still using type 63 ACVs and other old stuff. How can they name It a combined arms brigade? I mean these old stuff are not designed for the information warfare.

combined arms brigade means what it means, combining different arms into a single combat "team". In this context- APC, Arty, tanks, inf all working together instead of different service arms. Don't think it is applicable to information warfare.
