PLAN unit of the day: 12th Frigate Flotilla, Northern Threater Command

During the last few years, the PLAN has been commissioning a series of new Frigate Flotillas to provide operations support to all those newly minted Type056 and older FFG that has been reassigned to near-sea services.   Each of those Frigate Flotilla is expected to home about 8 FFGs if tradition holds true.   The 12th is one of those.
