First photo of Type052D under construction at Dalian shipyard

The first 6 Type052D DDGs -- the PLAN current standard -- were completed at Jiangnan-Changxing Shipyard of Shanghai.  With the introduction of a second shipyard for the Type052D program, it seems to confirm that the PLAN high command is reserving Jiangnan-Changxing's berth for the 055 cruiser program exclusively after the current of Type052D batch is complete. 

 Dalian shipyard completed a pair of Type 051C DDGs during the mid 2000s, so it is no stranger to building large surface combatants
