Impressive photos of the Yangshan Port near Shanghai.

This 20 billion USD Yangshan Deep-Water Port (洋山深水港) project will be the world's largest cargo port with 30 berths and the capability of handling 15 million TEU annually when the third phase completes by 2012. It is connected to Shanghai via a 32.5 km bridge over the Hangzhou Bay.

Together with Dalian to the north and Hainan down south, the Yangshan port, right in the middle, can be utilized to resupply "large naval vessels" after they became operational.
