With that large flat opening on top, it could host various of different weapon and senor mounts without any issue. Also noted that since the front sports almost no armor at all, suggesting a chassis for support elements and not geared for "breakthrough" roles

Maybe a prototype platform for SPAAG? The turret silhouette covered by the tarp looks suspiciously similar to the ZBL-09 30mm SPAAG turret shown on Zhuhai 2012.
