Photo of the day: Z-19 in operational evaluation
With the 8th LH Regiment (Brigade??) near Baoding Hebei.
It has been over a year since the first photo s the Z-19 (Z-9W tandem-seat attack mod) surfaced on the Chinese internet and what follows is a predictable speculation on rather the China Army would adopter another attack chopper for its LH (Army Aviation) fleet. This latest photos of Z-19 in LH color seem to suggest that the LH is indeed adopting a dual-track strategy. Hopefully this will put an end to the speculation.

With a narrower body but sharing most of the mechanicals of its civilian predecessor, the Z-19 is a much more capable combat chopper than even highly modified Z-9's.
This and a cheaper price tag than the Z-10 makes it the ideal low range attack copter for the PLA.
