Why do you think this is a confirmed serial number for a yet to be identified operational unit? From my understanding it is a - indeed quite unusual - prototype number since the photographer also noted this.
At least from my understanding it is only an unusual prototpye number, maybe - just my guess a four-digit one since it uses a new test base/test unit or so - but all regular PLAN serial numbers start with a 8 and have 5-digits or for the helicopters start with a 9xxx and the final digit denotes the Independent regiment number.
