PLA Unit Of The Day: 31st Heavy Armored Combined-Arms Brigade, 75th Group Army, Southern Theater Command

As of today, the 31st remains only Heavy Combined-Arms Brigade in the South.  Other Combined-Arms Brigades are wheeled, light infantry or SpOps.  According to PLA lexicon, a "Heavy" unit is generally referring to a unit equipped with all-tracked AFV and latest Type96/99 MBT.

In addition to Type96 MBT, the 31st commands HQ-17 SAM,  PPL-10 1200mm SP Mortar,  PGZ-04A SP-AAA, ZBD-04A IFV and AFT-10 ATGM Carrier.
