'Peace Ark' hospital ship leaves Gulf of Aden

GULF OF ADEN, July 29 (ChinaMil) --The "Peace Ark" hospital ship of the Navy of theChinese People's Liberation Army (PLAN) wrapped up its 15-day-long medical servicesto and medical exchanges with escort officers and men of various countries and left thewaters off the Gulf of Aden at 14:00 on July 26, 2013, local time.
This is the second time for the "Peace Ark" hospital ship to offer medical services toChinese escort officers and men in the Gulf of Aden, and the first time for the ship tooffer medical services to overseas escort officers and men.
During its stay in the Gulf of Aden, the "Peace Ark" hospital ship made physicalexamination for 359 persons/times, conducted out-patient treatments for 213persons/times and performed 7 operations for Chinese escort officers and men.
The hospital ship also successively received commanders of the U.S led CombinedTask Force 151 (CTF-151), the European Union (EU) Combined Task Force 465 (CTF-465) and the NATO Task Force (NTF) 508 as well as 34 escort officers and menfrom Pakistan, Turkey and the Netherlands and so on.
The hospital ship conducted 5 medical exchanges with overseas escort ships andoffered medical services to 11 persons/times for foreign escort servicemen, winingpraise from escort officers and men of various countries.
