This was my fathers ship in World War II 1944 -1945 it was then US LST 578. His name was Howard Sanders Templeman S1. I am looking for pictures of LST 578 during the war. I have an action report from Dec. of 1944 describing an attack on this ship by Japanese aircraft.

That LST is it from US Navy surplus or so? It looks like LST from World War 2 era.
